This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our service.

We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in our Privacy Policy.

We use your Personal Information for providing and improving Tuunio. By using Tuunio and the service we offer, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy is in accordance with and subject to, prevailing United Kingdom Law and EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

Information Collection And Use

While using Tuunio, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your email address, provided social media handles/usernames and your Spotify username ("Personal Information") and Tuunio user name. Where needed, this information will be requested when you sign up for Tuunio or when you agree to add a new social media service or connect to Spotify. Your social media handles and Spotify username may be displayed, as necessary, in association with any of your activity on Tuunio. We never reveal your email address.

We also use tokens provided by the services you give us permission to access on your behalf - including Spotify, Twitter and Facebook. We store and renew these tokens on a periodic basis in order to ensure functionality of our Service and provide you with a personalised experience. Without these tokens Tuunio does not function. We do not inspect these tokens or use them in any way other than to provide core functionality.

Service Providers

We may use third party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, to provide the service on our behalf (such as Spotify, Twitter and Facebook), to perform service-related services or to assist us in analysing how our service is used.

These third parties only have access to basic information to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Tuunio uses publicly available APIs from Spotify, Twitter and Facebook. Use of these APIs, reference to these services and inclusion of their name, branding and functionality on this Service in no way implies endorsement of this service by any of the aforementioned companies. Every effort has been made to comply with the developer policies associated with these services, as of March 2018. We will periodically (annually) review the terms of these policies and make any necessary amendments to this service and its policies if required.

We will only share and/or use personal information from these providers and Tuunio as necessary to facilitate the operation of this service.

You may choose to disconnect any of your chosen social media feeds from this service at any time, in the full knowledge that it will limit your experience. You may also disconnect from Spotify at any time but should be aware that this will lead to a substantial reduction in functionality of this Service.

User Age

Tuunio is a service that depends on users having approved and functional Spotify, Twitter and/or Facebook accounts. By signing up for Tuunio you agree that you are legally able to use these services and have approved access to such accounts.


We may use your Personal Information to contact you with information relating to the delivery of Tuunio. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.


The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. As such we make no warranties as to the level of security afforded to your data, except that we will always act in accordance with the relevant UK and EU legislation. We have aligned our Privacy Policy with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") which comes into effect on 25th May 2018, under the supervision of the ICO within the UK.

International Transfer

Your information, including Personal Information, may be transferred to - and maintained on - computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.

All our data is held within the UK and EU. We will not transfer your information outside of this without your permission.If you are located outside United Kingdom and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information, including Personal Information, to United Kingdom and process it there.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

In the event that a dispute arises with regards to the international transfer of data, you agree that the courts of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the matter.


This Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We will determine, at our discretion, whether there has been a breach of this acceptable use policy through your use of our site. When a breach of this policy has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including taking all or any of the following actions:

  • Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our site.
  • Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any posting or material uploaded by you to our site.
